Unfortunately it was the Mother Board, not sure how you will spell or put those words together. Anyway, Apple was going to be nice enough to replace a battery, even though it was a couple months past the date, but the other would have cost $700 to fix and it wouldn’t have been feasible to put that amount into his black laptop. So, he’ll just use it plugged in, or borrow his brothers.
Especially if you might ever want to run Windows on it. BTW, my older i Book(pre-Intel 2003) , with a new hard drive, now works perfectly for my grown daughter. Three of my grand kids have newish Mac-books: one black (6 months old), which has had screen repair twice now, and I gather this is an issue…One other is too new to tell yet, and I don’t know about the 3rd. Most of our extended family is making the transition from PC to Mac though, and happy about it.
it had been taken care of and was about two and a half years old. My point in replying to this is this! My husband never buys insurance on things that we buy, but when he got his new, believe it’s 27″, I-Mac, he did buy insurance on it as he felt that it was worth it on any computer now that you buy.
nano b008 468x60 They are really made well and we’ve never had any trouble with the three that we have in our home, his twin brother got his at the same time and his is running fine, so it was just bad luck on the other twins part. So, I would always buy an insurance policy of any computer, as anything electronic can give you problems, no matter how good you take care of it.

Flashy should probably cite a source of at least one known virus or worm found “in the wild” for Macs other than just in concept. A few days ago the very first Trojan backdoor found in the wild for Macs came up from the very same illegal downloading he alleges Mac users don’t often do. Of course a Trojan requires you to actively install it, requiring admin privileges.

How to arrange sync on Apple iPod

As far as the original post, the computer and the iPod do not need to be connected to the internet to work.
Music purchased should be in the music folder of the host computer. Apple Store B 008 468x60Fully playable it is.

On the Apple computer there is a simple check box arrangement, to turn off synchronizing, so that you neither wipe or overfill any iPod that gets hooked up.
But some people do get hosed because they don’t know to do it.
